Alibaba has introduced its AI-powered chatbot, Tongyi Qianwen, which has the potential to revolutionize people’s lives and work. The chatbot will have large language capabilities that will enable it to undertake tasks such as drafting emails, composing meeting notes, and creating business proposals. Tongyi Qianwen will be initially added to its workplace messaging application, DingTalk, and later integrated into all Alibaba products. The Chinese tech giant plans to offer its clients access to Tongyi Qianwen, helping them build their own customized large language models. Beta testing to create AI applications at scale in China is available for Tongyi Qianwen. The integration of such AI technology into multiple applications and platforms will revolutionize industries and profoundly impact user experiences.

How India Uses AI & ML to Improve the Tax Process

Source

The Indian government is revolutionizing their taxation process with the use of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data analytics. They are using these technologies to identify fiscal risks and potential tax evaders, prompt taxpayers about mismatches in income tax returns, and more. The government has also developed a project called ADVAIT (Advanced Analytics in Indirect Taxes) with the goals of enhancing indirect tax revenue, increasing the taxpayer base, and supporting data-driven tax policy. Using big data techniques and AI algorithms, they can identify high-risk cases and visualize the taxpayer’s relationships to flag potential high-risk transactions. Overall, the use of technology makes the tax filing process more effective and business- and taxpayers-friendly.

This AI Application Can Crack Your Password in Less Than One Minute

Source

PassGAN, a machine-learning model, has been developed to generate strong passwords within a minute, with a success rate of 12 to 100%. The PassGANs function through two neural networks, where one generates the password and the other determines the password is fake or real. The training dataset consists of 32 million passwords, including their duplicates, and 78% were uncrackable. Weaknesses appear if an attacker can predict the noise vector. PassGAN is a promising approach and serves as a starting point for further research in machine learning amplifying online security.

KissanGPT Brings Cutting-Edge AI to Indian Farmers

Source

Indian farmers now have access to KissanGPT, an AI voice assistant that can answer agriculture-related queries in nine Indic languages. Developed by Pratik Desai, founder of Titodi, KissanGPT utilizes OpenAI’s GPT models with a knowledge layer on top, and is constantly updated through partnerships with agricultural universities in the country. Desai created KissanGPT due to the broken information channels available to farmers and the fragmented data provided by other startups. One of the unique features of KissanGPT is its voice interface, which is easier for farmers who speak different dialects of Indian languages. While scaling remains a challenge, the platform currently receives 30,000 to 40,000 queries each month and is growing organically. Desai hopes to make KissanGPT an inexpensive tool accessible to each farmer in every corner of the world.

AutoGPT on Github

Source
Here’s the summary from their Github page “Auto-GPT is an experimental open-source application showcasing the capabilities of the GPT-4 language model. This program, driven by GPT-4, chains together LLM “thoughts”, to autonomously achieve whatever goal you set. As one of the first examples of GPT-4 running fully autonomously, Auto-GPT pushes the boundaries of what is possible with AI.” Beneath this introduction is a demo where a user names the AI, describes it’s role, and set’s it’s goals. The AI then iterates through a loop of Thoughts, Reasoning, Criticism, Next Action, and Output. In this example, the user creates a Chef GPT designed to browse the web to create unique and creative recipes for upcoming events. Over the course of the next minute, the AI finds the next event, earth day, and comes up with an organic locally sourced Earth Day Quinoa Salad recipe, complete with a recipe list, instructions, and explanation for the recipe.

This project is surely a hint at what is to come. Now that LLMs are becoming cheaper and more powerful, the next step will be to architect thinking patterns and solutions to create independent agents capable of adaptive behavior and autonomously achieving vague objectives by defining and executing smaller goals. This project is completely open source, and if you don’t have access to GPT-4 don’t worry as this project can also be configured to run on GPT 3.5 as well.

Conclusion
